Mark Price

Mark Price is a Dunedin reporter for the Otago Daily Times who has written one previous book. After 30 years of daily news, and four years researching and writing Getting Away With Murder: the Jennifer Beard Inquiry, Mr Price felt it was time for a little light relief. His story of the search for New Zealand's antipodes is the result.

"It always seemed to me that only really famous people conducted 'expeditions'. The rest of us simply went somewhere on holiday."

To prove himself wrong, Mr Price has conducted two expeditions to the antipodes to shed a little light on this largely unknown aspect of New Zealand.

Mr Price was born in West Otago, is married with three children and enjoys his largely anonymous life in the suburbs of Dunedin.
