Sheryl Sutherland of Women's Financial Strategies began financial planning in 1981 and is an Independent Advisor with her own business based in Christchurch. Sheryl's interest in women and money was aroused when she worked on a thesis which examined women in the economy and how they were represented in literature during the nineteenth century.
Sheryl has a B.A.Dip F.A.C. (Otago) and a DipPFinPlan (Waikato). Sheryl is a member of the PAA (Professional Advisor's Association). She has appeared on both television and radio and since 1981 has run her own financial seminars throughout the South Island and seminars for institutions such as universities, schools, government departments, polytechnics, Women in Business and other groups. For some years she wrote a regular column for the Christchurch Press and magazines such as Financial Alert, NZ Women in Business and Baby & Child on financial matters.
Sheryl is a Christchurch 'Her Business' Network Co-Ordinator.
Sheryl has clients worldwide wherever they can be written to, telephoned, faxed, emailed and otherwise cajoled.
Longacre Press published Sheryl's latest book Money, Money, Money, Ain't it Funny... in July 2007.
